Snake Eyes

Newsletter privacy

This teaser is operated by Isaiah Young for Snake Eyes. Joining the newsletter is optional.

What the signup saves

With your consent, the form saves your email address, signup time, the version of the consent wording, and a general referral source such as Instagram or YouTube. The first signup also creates a private removal link. Save this link to manage your signup.

How it is used

The list is for occasional Snake Eyes news: new artwork, development updates, and future announcements. Your signup is not a purchase, a reservation, or a guaranteed invitation to a playtest. Email addresses are not sold.

The website currently collects and saves signups. Automatic welcome emails are not enabled, so joining does not mean an email has been sent. This notice will identify the sending service when email delivery is enabled.

Storage and safeguards

Signup records are stored through this site’s hosting infrastructure, using Cloudflare D1. There is no public subscriber directory. Only a cryptographic digest of each private removal token is stored in the database.

The form uses short-lived, hashed request identifiers to limit automated submissions; these expire after ten minutes and are cleared during subsequent requests. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the newsletter database.

This site does not use advertising pixels. Hosting providers may process ordinary request information to operate and protect the service.

If you choose a motion setting, that preference is saved in this browser so it can be remembered on your next visit. It is not sent with newsletter signups or page-action counts.

Understanding the page

This site counts a small set of page actions, such as starting the film or completing the signup form. Counts are grouped by day and a general referral source. These aggregate counts contain no email addresses, removal tokens, full referral URLs, visitor identifiers, or cookies. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences disable these action counts.

Short-lived hashed request identifiers also limit automated event submissions. They expire after their ten-minute window and are cleared during subsequent requests. They are not used to connect a visitor’s actions across pages or visits. Aggregate action counts older than 90 days are also cleared during subsequent requests.

Leaving the list

Use the private removal link shown when you first join, or the removal link in a welcome email when sending is enabled. Confirming removal deletes your email address and associated signup, token, and delivery-status records from this site’s list. Repeating a completed removal is safe.

Future newsletters will include an unsubscribe link. Signup records are retained until you leave or the list is retired. Messages already accepted by a mail provider may still arrive, and a provider may retain operational sending records according to its own policy.
